Andreas Giovanos
Founding Partner
Director
Andreas was born in Piraeus, in 1978. He holds a Diploma in Architecture from the National Technical University of Athens. He co-founded GNB architects with Spyros Boukas since 2007 focusing at residential and hotel projects. In 2014 the company has been developed and expanded in collaboration with Nikos Paouris acquiring today's form, structure and corporate identity. Andreas is also a comic artist. His work has been published in Greece and abroad.

Nikos was born in Athens. He holds a degree in Architecture from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece (2003). After working as a freelance architect for 10 years, he joined as a partner the GNB architects and partners in 2014. As an architect and designer he works in a wide different stages of a project such as the initial design, the concept development and the completion of construction. He divides his time between Athens, Kea and Mykonos, overseeing each project. Nikos is a member in Architectural Councils. He speaks English, French and Spanish.
Spyros Boukas

Director
Spyros was born and lives in Athens. He is a graduate of the School of Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens. After working as a freelance architect for 2 years with Andreas, they founded GNB architects and partners. As a project manager he takes part in all design decisions and works in planning and supervision of the projects to the completion of construction. He divides his time between Athens and Mykonos overseeing each project. He is specialized in the renovation of luxurious residences, hotels and commercial spaces. He speaks English, Italian and German.
Maria Vlachou
Senior Architect
Head of Design
Architect and Geologist. She lives and works in Athens. She holds a degree in Architecture from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece (2010). She is active in the field of private residencies, office spaces and retail spaces, either as a freelancer or through collaborating with architectural firms in Athens. Prior to her studying architecture, she earned a degree in Geology from the Faculty of Sciences of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece (2002), a factor that drives her research interest towards the notion of tectonics in design and the interaction of topography and architecture.
Ioanna Roumpi
Senior Architect
Technical Manager
Ioanna received her BSc in Architectural Engineering (2004) and her MSc in Architecture – Planning of Space majoring in Urban and Regional Planning (2007), both degrees from the National Technical University of Athens. Her research interests include urban interventions and the regeneration of urban voids. She has collaborated with architectural and urban design firms on designing private residences, public buildings, offices, shops, sports and leisure facilities, luxurious tourist complexes and hotels. She also has experience in projects involving renovation/reuse of old building shells and recreation of outdoor public spaces. Additionally, she has participated in various architectural competitions and has served as a deputy Site Manager at Peristeri Olympic Boxing Hall during Athens Olympic Games in 2004. As an architect she undertakes a broad range of a project's development stages; from the initial concept to the architectural and interior design and licensing. She speaks English, German and Spanish.
Eleftheria Lymperea
Senior Architect
Eleftheria was born and lives in Athens. She is a graduate of the School of Architecture at the Democritus University of Thrace (2009). Even though she concerned of modern architecture, she displays particular interest of Renovation and Restoration of existing buildings. Her professional experience includes architectural projects and interior design, monument renovation and public works, such as schools and ports. She speaks English and French.
Apostolos Tsiamis
Senior Architect
Apostolos holds a diploma in Architecture by AUTh and has been a member of the gnb team for the past eight years. Through this cooperation he had the opportunity to be a part of or lead design teams for a multitude of projects spanning the full spectrum of architecture work: From concept & schematic design to permitting and technical investment planning and all the way to detailed design and construction support. His main interest nowadays is focused on how contemporary architecture can contribute in a sustainable future by producing buildings and spaces that respect both the human and environmental scale, whether a small island cottage or a multi storey five-star hotel.
Dora Karadouka
Senior Architect
Born in Larissa, she currently lives and works in Athens. During the early stages of her career she worked as a freelance architect when she decided to pursue further advance and career opportunities in architectural practices of Athens. She had the opportunity to work alongside like-minded colleagues in various projects, in the private sector and hospitality, in Greece and abroad, as well as projects related to conservation and application of traditional architecture. Although she is usually involved with all stages of design, she is the most interested in Construction/Interior Design documentation and Product Design since she believes solving technical issues offers further opportunities to creativity.
Vasiliki Roditi
Senior Architect
Vasiliki was born and lives in Athens. She has studied Architecture at University of Thessaly (2011) and continued her postgraduate studies on Architectural Design INSTEAD_Parapoesis (2015) at the same department. Since 2016, she is a PhD candidate in University of Thessaly. Due to her university research, she has participated in teaching Architectural Design to undergraduate students both in University and Workshops. Her projects have been exhibited in a numerous festivals, architectural and art exhibitions and she has also presented her papers at National Conferences. At the same time, she had worked as a freelance architect supervising the construction of industrial projects. She speaks English and French.
Ioanna Tzorva
Architect
Ioanna was born in Tripoli, Greece and studied Architecture at Technical University of Thessaly (2016) and Politecnico di Milano (2019), MSc in “Architecture - Built Environment - Interiors”. During her studies she was
a scholarship holder of the Bakalas Foundation. In addition to her studies,
Ioanna acquired professional experience in Braga, Portugal where she was introduced to city development and religious architecture.
Subsequently, based in Tokyo, Japan, she had the opportunity to work within a different framework of regulations and culture related to office buildings. She participated in competitions and the design of an environmental center in China among other projects. The fields of
interest are the urban tissue transformations and the diverse landscape scenarios from which fragments, typologies, and synthetical tools are emerging.
Charris Paraskevopoulos
Senior Architect
Charris holds a diploma in Architecture
from Patras University, Greece. He specializes in architectural design, structural design,
construction planning and building permits. His goal is to effectively bridge the functional needs and
architectural narratives of space. He enjoys getting involved in the construction process, project planning and management, and is interested in promoting more sustainable building methods with a
positive environmental impact. In his free time, he loves drawing sketches and comic characters.
Tzanis Tzanetopoulos
Architect
Born and raised in Athens, he graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of West Attica in 2013 and from the School of Architecture from the National Technical University of Athens in 2018. His participation in architectural competitions and workshops - with distinctions in both - has helped him evolve significantly as an architect, and has also offered him the opportunity to further cultivate his collaborative, organizational and creative skills. Finding the smallest and most immediate manifestation of organized space interesting, he finds pleasure in street photography and furniture making. He speaks English and French.
Christina Klonizaki
Architect
Christina is a graduate of the Department of Architecture of the University of Patras (2009) with postgraduate studies at the National Technical University of Athens in the direction "Design – Space – Culture". From the completion of her studies until 2022 she collaborated with architectural offices in Patras in the field of architectural design, supervision and construction of private projects of new and existing residences as well as smaller scale projects, in Western Greece and Crete. She focuses on the relationship between architecture and the city with culture and philosophy. In 2023 she joined the team of gnb architects.
Nikiforos Tolis
Architect
Nikiforos is an architect engineer, graduated from the Polytecnical University of Crete. He lives and works in Athens, with his professional interests to be focusing on the behaviour of architecture as a multidimensional fractal system. In his free time he likes to explore roads and mountain trails while cycling and running. Combining these with his communicative personality, are constituting a man with an attitude to process a project in its different scales and design sustainable architectural structures in such a way that they are encouraging the individual through the collective behaviour. In the past he has collaborated with engineering and construction firms in Athens and he has taken part in architectural competitions. He speaks English and French.
Mando Karavasili
Architect
Mando was born and raised in Athens, although she maintains a special connection to her place of origin, Lesvos Island. She graduated from NTUA’s School of Architecture in 2014 and received
her Master’s degree in Design and Tourism Development from the Aristotle University of
Thessaly in 2017. She has participated in architectural competitions, while she was also
called to present her thesis on contemporary hotel design and its spatial qualities at the
Democritus University of Thrace’s student research fair in 2015. Since 2016, she has been involved in designing and implementing houses, hospitality and recreational spaces, focusing on
the correlation between architecture and interior design. Her main field of interest is the
philosophy of hospitality and spatial design. She speaks English and French.
Vicky Gkaniou
Architect
Vicky was born in Nafplio and graduated from the School of Architecture at the University of Patras (2018). She has worked in architectural firms and has deal with the interior design and decoration. Her professional experience includes designing and supervising the construction of private residences and residential complexes, stores and office spaces. Vicky has taken part in voluntary programs and architectural exhibitions and workshops. She speaks English and German.
Nikos Mousios
Architect
Nikos is born in Athens. He studied architecture at the Escuela Tecnica Superior de Arquitectura in Seville, Spain (E.T.S.A.S) and continued his studies in lighting design.
He has worked on projects of various scales and in the field of construction and project management (PM).
He is particularly interested in architecture with a low environmental footprint integrated into its surroundings, which enhances the user's experience and sensations through its form and materiality, with a phenomenological approach. He speaks English and Spanish.
Emmanouela Bernidaki
Architect
Emmanouela graduated from the Architect Engineering Department of National Technical University of Athens in 2019. During her studies, she participated in the Erasmus Student Exchange at Politecnico di Milano in Italy, where she carried out her dissertation. She has an interest in anthropocentric design, reuse and revitalization of things of the past. Emmanouela has worked at architectural firms in private residences, residential complexes and hospitality projects. She has participated in volunteering programs as well as architectural exhibitions and competitions. She speaks English and French.
Christiana Alifanti
Junior Architect
Christiana was born and raised in Athens and began studying in the faculty of Photography and Audiovisual Media, University of West Attica. After graduation, she studied in the School of Architecture, University of Patras graduating in 2020 and is currently enrolled in the Master's programme "Research in Architecture: Design, Space, Culture", National Technical University of Athens. She holds distinctions in architectural competitions and has taken part in workshops and academic exhibitions. Her research interest is located in the study of idiomatic and protected environments such as the cycladic landscape along with their adjustment in the needs of a contemporary dwelling, transforming them through new spatial manifestations.
Chara Papaioannou
Junior Architect
Chara was born in Thessaloniki and she completed her studies at the AUTH School of Architecture in 2021. During her academic years, she contributed to the design of various projects within a team, she participated in architectural competitions and international workshops. Her passion for traveling and exploring new cultures combined with the fact that she likes challenges, led her to Portugal, where she completed her internship in an architectural office. Her professional interest focuses on residential, hospitality, and interior design projects on various scales. The human being, the landscape, and the tradition are some of the most important factors that contribute to the formation of her ideas and are the ones that inspire her to design an ideal space for the user. In her free time, she likes reading philosophical and psychological texts, and this helps her to face any new challenge that arises for her. She speaks English and Italian.
Harris Xypnitos
Junior Architect
Harris was born and raised in Athens. After graduating from the Department of Architecture Engineering at the University of Thessaly, he began his professional career as a freelance architect, working on projects primarily focused on the Cycladic and Urban landscape. He later graduated from the Department of Architecture at KU Leuven University in Belgium, obtaining a Master of Science degree in "Architectural and Urban Design." His architectural approach focuses on creating sustainable and functional spaces that respect the history and culture of each location. He seeks to combine traditional elements with contemporary architectural principles to create spaces that promote the well-being and harmony of residents in interaction with the environment. He speaks English and German.
Katerina Eleftheriou
Urbanist
Katerina was born and raised in Athens, and lives permanently in Mykonos. She is a graduate of the Department of Planning and Regional Development of Technical University, Volos (2017) with an Advanced Master degree in Urbanism and Strategic Planning (MaUSP) in the Faculty of Architecture of KU Leuven University, Belgium (2017-2019). Since December 2020, she has been working with the team of gnb architects. Her professional experience includes internship in the Technical Service of the Municipality of Mykonos and participation in various European programs, like the HYDROUSA EU Horizon2020 Innovation Action project. She speaks English and German. Her research interest is focused on developing strategies, but also innovative tools and systems, for adapting cities and islands to the new conditions imposed by climate change. She has participated in international and European architectural competitions with group projects aimed at developing urban and architectural interventions to deal with the effects of extreme weather events in Europe and Latin America.
Christos Georgakopoulos
Mechanical Engineer
Christos lives in Athens. He has studied in the Technological Educational Institute of Athens. He holds a diploma from KTH University, Sweden (2012) specialized in energy managment and bioclimatic systems and a MSc in environmental engineering from the University of Almeria (UAL), Spain. He is a phd candidate in NTUA in the field of urban and regional planning. He has worked in industrial projects as Submittals Reviewer. He speaks English and Spanish.
Spyros Lountzis
Mechanical Engineer
Spyros lives in Athens. He completed his studies (2018) at the Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering course of the Polytechnical School, at University of Cyprus (UCY) and then proceeded to complete his postgraduate (MSc) program at Brunel University of London (BLU) a year later. His interest focuses in modern mechanical engineering design applications in the construction field. In the past, Spyros worked in construction projects mainly for the tourism industry. In his free time, he loves photo shooting and sailing, while he is also a frequent traveller. He speaks English.
Ioanna Stavrou
Civil Engineer
Ioanna is a Civil Engineer, graduated from the School of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens. In the past, she has worked in the field of residential structural design, as well as in the fields of building permit licensing and supervision of renovations. Her interest is focused in the structural study for the implementation of architecturally modern residential and hotel projects. In her free time, she likes playing strategy board games and dancing flamenco. She speaks English and French.
Nasia Bouka
Interior Designer
Nasia grew up and lives in Athens. She graduated from the Department of History and Philosophy of Science of the Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2018. She holds the ECDL Advanced certificate and she is currently working in the archival department. At the same time, she is about to acquire her second degree in the field of Interior Architecture and Design. Her interests are playing the piano and painting. She speaks English and German.
Zoi Tsokou
Office Manager
Zoi was born and lives in Athens . Graduate of faculty of primary education Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens . Devotee of organization consistency and accountability chose to work in secretarial positions – Logistics and organization of companies and has a long presence in the area from 2000 until today . Zoe is the assistant operation manager of the company GNB Architects. She speaks English and French.
Chara Vlachou
Administrative Officer
Chara was born and lives in Athens. She holds a diploma in history of science of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She was a founding member of an organization specialized in mental health of socially vulnerable groups of people. From 2012 until today she has worked as a secretary and assistant accountant. She speaks English, French and Italian.
Nassia Angelidou

Nassia was born and lives in Athens. She studied Advertising Marketing. She has worked as a secretary and administrative officer in the health and education sectors. She joined the gnb architects team in 2023. In her free time she is involved in photography and subtitling. She speaks English and French.
Roza Albani
Accountant
Rosa was born in 1985 in Yerevan, Armenia and grew up in Thessaloniki. Having obtained her degree as a fashion designer in 2006, she decided to cross over into finance. In 2008, she received the diploma of special computerized accounting operations specialist. She has also worked as an employee of the financial department for 10 consecutive years. In 2020, she joined the gnb architects team as a member of the accounting department. Rosa is a very responsible and patient person. She has a polite approach in her workplace and has a spirit of co-operation. She speaks English and Armenian.
Maria Papaioannou
Archivist
Maria was born in Arta, studied in Corfu and has been residing in Athens for the past year. She studied at the Ionian University, at the Department of Archives, Library Science and Museology. She graduated cum laude on November 2018. Maria has been working as an information scientist since studying –working for the University Library, the Corfu Public Library and the General State Archives in Corfu. Since she graduated, she has been working in the private sector. At GNB Architects, she is employed as an archivist, working towards the organisation and digitalisation of the company’s archives. In her free time, she likes to dance and has been learning folk greek dances for the past seventeen years.
